Question:
My task: Adding water ballast/water tank to 2” receiver on a 3 pt hitch. I think the referenced part #2852” isn’t what I want. I want a piece that fits inside the 2-1/8” receiver, but hoping I’m close enough to get some help. I have a Kubota 2650 tractor, Class-I, 3-point hitch, which normally carries 400 lb. ballast box. I would like to replace that with a 55 gal. drum of water. I have as a 3-pt attachment a 2-1/8” receiver into which the standard 2” hitch fits. My intention is to put a ~26 x 2 piece in this with a ~30” riser vertical welded on it. The drum then sits on the horizontal piece and is ratchet strapped to the riser. It would be very handy to have a hole at the end of the horizontal extension. I could bolt on a 2” ball to launch my pretty light-weight boat, or put a pin in it to haul a small trailer with mulch in it, while I water. I’d use the drum to water trees and could also drain the water and save 400 lb of ballast on my trailer. Am I courting disaster with the 400 lb of water AND the trailer, or the long extension to the trailer? Tongue weight of the boat trailer is 100 lb and the mulch trailer is four-wheel with just draw weight. Attached picture is of the 3pt hitch adapter for 2inch receiver. That is the black triangle. It is leaning against the back side of the orange loader bucket.

I'm pretty sure I understand what you're wanting to do but I don't think we have exactly what you're looking for. The closest option we have will be something like the Brophy Hitch Extender # RHSE that measures 19 inches long (which represents the longest such extender we have available) along with a fixed ball mount like the Curt # D-26 that would insert into the extender for an extra 12-5/8 inches of length plus the desired hole for a hitch ball.
We also have the Lets Go Aero Flat Pipe Spine # H01373 that provides the necessary length (40 inches overall) plus a dual-arm platform that will provide better stability for your drum. There isn't anything available for it in terms of adding a hitch ball but you could theoretically weld a steel crosstube to the arms to provide space for one.
For your application you will want to try and find out the weight capacities for your 3-point hitch to make sure the tongue weight limit won't be exceeded with the water drum and boat trailer attached.
