Question:
Hello, I am assembling a 1090 lbs 40x48 harbor freight utility trailer. the axle that comes with it has a total of 53” end to end, and a 38” distance between the leaf center bolts. Everywhere I look the smallest axle available is 61/46, that will just not fit. My rod diameter is exactly 25mm, so I am considering at least putting wider wheels 13” but for that I need to replace the hub, ideally putting a 5 lug one. Can you suggest any hub options, or even better axle options? Thank you for your time! Regards

Hello Andrei,
There isn't an axle we can offer as there aren't any that small we have, but you may be able to get a different hub. I couldn't find the bearing sizes of that axle to find a new hub so you'll have to do a bit of measuring. For that you will need to take apart your current hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them.
If you are unable to find them, you need to use a digital caliper and measure your spindle where the bearings ride, like in the diagram I added below. So for example, if your bearings are L44649 (1.063" inner diameter) you would use the Trailer Idler Hub # AKIHUB-545-2-LF-2K, which is for 13" to 15" wheels.
I have added a link below to our entire selection of hubs for you once you find this info.

I have a simple caliper, and these are my measurements: outer bearing set 25 mm inner bearing set 25 mm slightly bigger, not 26mm grease seal seat almost 30 mm, bigger than 29mm spindle shaft between 32 and 33 mm thread diameter almost 22, bigger than 21
