Entry Door Lock for 1979 Rockwood Pop-Up Tent Trailer
Question:
Will this knob fit a 1979 Rockwood pop up tent trailer door

Valterra Keyed Entry Door Knob # L32CS000 is made to fit RV and mobile home doors that are 1-3/8 to 1-5/8 thick. Many older pop-ups will have a thinner door than this and the older Rockwood models I found photos of appear to use a paddle-type lock like # L3980 which fits a door opening of 3-3/8 x 4-5/8-inches.
I contacted Forest River, which now owns the Rockwood brand. Since your pop-up was made before they bought the brand from Cobra in 1996 they have zero information on the type of lock needed. If you can provide a few photos that will help us see what we might have that will work for you. Please send a photo of the existing latch, the measurements of the opening in the door and the door thickness.
