Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Valterra keyed entry doorknob with interior lever for your RV. Now, this keyed entry doorknob and lever set is going to help protect your RV from intruders and the exterior knob locks and unlocks with the included keys. And let me just show you that these keys do indeed fit and work very smoothly. So, you're going to get two keys with this set.
And the interior, easy to grasp lever handle has a built-in thumb latch to lock and unlock. Now, this is going to be an easy universal installation. This knob fits 1 3/8 inches to 1 5/8 inches thick RV doors with a 2 3/8 inches to 2 3/4 inch back seat, or back set rather. And it can be installed as a drive-in latch by removing the face plate, or using the included strike plate for standard installation. The adjustable back set ensures fit on most RV doors.
And I took some measurements earlier. The overall diameter of the base here, we're sitting right at about 2 1/2 inches. And then the distance between the mounting holes here, center to center, and you can't see that other one there because of that levered handle there, but center to center on those mounting holes, we are sitting right at 1 5/8 inches. And if you're interested, the overall handle length is sitting right at 3 1/8 inches. This is a stainless steel construction.
So, as you can see, it's attractive but it is also durable. So, that's going to hold up to the elements and I think it's going to really be able to last a good long time. It does seem like it's of quality construction. And again, you're gonna get everything that you see here on the table before me. You're going to get instructions to walk you through the simple installation process and all the hardware necessary.

Arrived quickly. For my installation, I was only replacing a worn-out doorknob lock on the camper door, so it was incredibly easy. I was worried about the fit, but it looks better than the original.
Replacement door latch fit very well for my 72 StarCraft trailer. No clearance issues between the screen door and interior latch.
This was a perfect fit and easy to install on my 84 kit companion. The hardest step was removing the old handle to get this part installed. Thank you so much, I can't tell you how relieved I am to have found this site

Got it put in and it would not unlock.so I took it back out and put it back in it still wouldn't unlock it was bad so I'm sending it back to you thank you.

Well I just got it about 3 hrs ago. Still in the packaging. I got this one cause the one on a trailer I just bought was damaged. So when it stops raining in a couple days Ill pt it on.

I have been using it for several months now. Going in and out of my 17 trailer. Same as the one I removed.
I converted a small trailer into a camping/toy hauler trailer. The door lock works perfect for the side door. I will be ordering another door lock for my other trailer.
I initially ordered door hardware from e-trailer. Product display wasn't clear whether it was a 2 3/8" or 2 3/4" backset, or if the item could be adjusted to fit either dimension.
However, when I re-ordered part from etrailer the replacement part fit just fine and I am satisfied with the product and service.
We were very pleased with the interior lights we received to replace the old lights in the 1980 Coachman camper that we are refurbishing. The doorknob for the exterior door was great, too. All of the items we ordered were true to what was shown on the website. We have already placed another order for exterior lights!
Better than the OEM. Easy installation. Works perfectly.
Perfect replacement for the worn out one on my 1985 Cameo camper.

Perfectly!
The handle I bought is being used on a Park Model home and gets a lot of pulling on the lever to close the door from the inside. The original one just snapped off but this one appears to be a heavier , more rugged handle. After a year of use it is doing just fine.
It was the perfect replacement for the old handle on the used trailer I was loaned. The product arrived quickly with no issues. Easy to put on and use, thank you!
Appears to be what exists on my trailer. Can't be certain yet. It will be another
month or more before I take it with me to install in trailer in Mexico.

The camper this is a1975, thought it probably would take a lot of maneuvering to get it installed but it fit like a it was made for it. Thanks etrailer!
This product although made for an entrance door was exactly what we needed for access to a tight bathroom door when the slide was closed. Switched out the door catch lever for one that came with the OEM knob, because the latch was too thick for the interior door construction. Works great.

Worked great for the time we had the RV. No longer own the RV due to a total destruction accident. Would buy the product again if needed.

Easy to Install and works well. Wish keys could have been keyed alike with dead bolt keys.

It's great to hear that you don't have any issues with the screen door closing with the new latch. I know that can be an issue for some. Also, the install looks great, Michael!
