Question:
Is this Vent adequate for a small van that is mainly used on weekends little to no cooking? Will it stop condensation from breathing of up to 2 people if i just use one? Will it make the van noticeably cooler in the hot months? Can I leave it open in the rain?

You can definitely use the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # VP-543SP in your small van on the weekends. It moves 100 cubic feet per minute so one should be enough to stop condensation for a couple people. It isn't going to make things noticeably cooler though because it is a vent and fan as opposed to something that supplies cold air - it will really just circulate the air. As for the rain, I recommend leaving the fan closed because it is possible some water could get through the opening though you could add a cover such as # CAM40431.
To install the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # VP-543SP you will need the Roof Vent Installation Kit # 344270KITW. I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
