Question:
What do I need to look for or measure before ordering a wheel? How do I know that I am getting the correct bolt pattern?

Expert Reply:
We have trailer wheels in two different 4-lug patterns, the 4-on-4 pattern found on a wheel such as # AM22318HWT and also the 4-on-9.44 vintage wheel pattern as with the wheels shown on the linked page. You can refer to the linked article on wheel bolt patterns for help confirming which pattern you need. In this vintage bolt pattern we offer 13-inch, 14-inch and 15-inch wheels and their widths also vary from 4-1/2 to 6-inches.
All of these vintage wheels feature silver powder coated steel construction and all have +5mm of offset, which means that the center of the mounted tire's tread will be 5mm closer to the trailer than the center of the wheel.
The other linked article on tire sizing has a chart that shows you the tire sizes compatible with each wheel diameter and width. For some examples, the 13 x 4-1/2-inch wheel # AM20208 will accept two tire sizes, 175/80-13 and 185/80-13; and a 14 x 5-1/2-inch wheel like # AM20312 will accept tire sizes 205/75-14 and 215/75-14.
