Updated 05/11/2026 | Published 04/20/2026

Question:

I have a 2023 Grand Design reflection 303rls fifth wheel. I need to replace the bushings in the leaf springs and Ill probably replace the wet bolts along with it. Can you give me the kit number for that

Hey Scott, thanks for reaching out, and nice camper! We can definitely provide the bushings and wet bolts for it. The best, most cost-effective way to do this will be with a full kit that comes with shackles, wet bolts and bronze bushings. We'll just need to make sure we get you the right size shackles (should be either 2-1/4" or 3-1/8" long) so please check that and select from the following:

- MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers - 2-1/4" Long Shackle Straps # MR46ZR

- MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers - 3-1/8" Long Shackle Straps # MR76ZR

These kits are great - the HD shackles are super durable and if you properly maintain the wet bolts, they can easily last the life of the camper. Just check that shackle length and you'll be good to go.

What's the next trip you have planned once you get the suspension replaced?

Thank you, I'll get some measurements and get back to you. Few short local trips and then Yellowstone 18hr venture.

@ScottG I measures the shackles and the bolt centers are 2.25. It looks to me like it has the heavier shackles on it from the factory, could that be true? I was repacking bearings, so I decided to remove the shackles for inspection. The bushings( is assume plastic) were egg shaped and thus the bolt was sloppy. Is this a case where I just need to replace the bushings? If so, which bushings? Also, the bolts were silver color, not black.

@ScottG Jesse, I figured it out, ignore the previous statement. I can see the big differences going to be in the thicker shackle plates and of course the longer bolts. I'll be getting back to you to order that kit. Thank you for your time

@ScottG Hey Scott. Yes the HD shackles and bronze bushings will make a big difference. They'll help smooth out and quiet down the suspension. Keep them greased and they will last a good long while. I think you'll definitely be happy with it. You know where to find me if you ever need anything else!

I installed the Morryde kit about 2 years ago on my 2022 Grand Design 26 ft travel trailer. I bought it for 2 reasons: 1. to make the suspension quieter over bumps. 2. To provide a smoother ride for the coach. For reason number 1 the kit worked PERFECTLY! My trailer is now perfectly quiet going over speed bumps, curb cuts etc. Reason number 2 is a much more subjective. We do believe the ride is smoother based on the state of the contents of the trailer after a long highway drive. The kit is easy to install but care should be taken while swaging the bolts into one side of the shackle. The bolts are easy to grease. Highly recommend

@Mark Thanks for the detailed feedback, Mark, really appreciate you sharing your experience. Glad to hear it made such a big difference in quieting things down. Your second reason is spot on too - it makes things way easier on the trailer contents too. We hear that a lot. Thanks for taking the time to share!

Recently did this upgrade to our 2019 GD Refecttion 337rls. Kit material was of good quality and not lacking any components for the job. Tips: bottle jack, shop quality air or electric impact to remove stubborn bolts, rubber mallet, deep socket the correct diameter to drive out old bushing (I think I used a 7/16). Be careful when inserting new bushings do as to not damage them.

I ordered the MR46ZR kit and was going to install it yesterday. This is on my 2023 Grand Design Reflection 303RLS 5th Wheel. It came with the CRE3000 Morryde equalizer from the factory. I noticed the shackle bolts that go through the leaf spring bushings were sloppy, with well over 1/16" of movement vertically and horizontally, so I assumed the plastic bushings were bad. When I got it disassembled the leaf spring bushings were all bronze bushings, but were larger than the ones in the kit both ID and OD. The bushings in the CRE3000 were not sloppy and were bronze. The bushings in the leaf spring did not look worn but the bolt was sloppy. Do you have any ideas? Scott

@ScottG That is odd because leaf spring eyes are a standard size for really any double-eye leaf spring setup. If I'm not mistaken your 5th wheel uses a dual 5,200 lb axle setup and those leaf springs should absolutely be a standard 11/16" diameter eye. I'm sure the bolt slop is from the bolts/bushings being worn out - especially if they haven't been properly greased over the years. Replacements should be standard size though. What OD/ID are the bushings you pulled out?
