Question:
I have Dexter 4000lb EZ Lube axles NOT 4400# Dex# 3722505 on my 2015 Forest River Trailer. I have had to return 3 orders now because I cannot seem to find the correct parts. at $80 shipping each, this has cost me so much money And I still dont have the project complete or the correct parts. I want the entire brake replacement kits nev r adjust. I first had the 3500Lb kits and the 4 bolt pattern didnt fit. I have since ordered what I was told was the correct part K23-479-00 and K23-478-00 but they are listed as 4400#. Are these the same as the 4000# ??? I then ordered the entire drum assembly and again, by specs got the 10x2-1/4 3500# drums. These are wrong according to your web site as they make a specific drum for the 4000# axle. K08-426-00. So I am returning these and want to know if I should order the 4000# K08-426-00 ones. This has been an incredible nightmare because of this unique Dexter non standardinch 4000# axle. Can you help me straighten this mess out ?

We don't carry every available axle from Dexter so most likely we don't have exactly what you'll need but I can help you figure out what you do need so that you can pick out the correct one.
Basically you need to first verify the capacity you need and then the correct dimensions. The lengths you need to determine are the hub face to hub face dimension and the spring seat to spring seat center dimension. I attached a picture that shows this.
If you find a local trailer shop who can order axles they'll be able to get you set up with what you need.
