Length of Bars on Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System

Question:

I have a V-nose trailer, and have installed chain hangers to adapt a WD system. My problem is the length of the bars. I need shorter bars, and was looking at the Curt short bar setup. What is the length of these, compared to the Curt short bars?

The Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution Systems have trunnion bars which measure 28-3/8 inches, according to the manufacturer; this is quite a bit shorter than the 33 inch trunnion bars on the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution # RP66073, for example.

The Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System comes with a number of different tongue weight options which I'll list so you can choose the correct one.

- Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System with Shank - Trunnion Bar - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW # C17330

- Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System with Shank - Trunnion Bar - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW # C17331

- Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System with Shank - Trunnion Bar - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # C17332

- Curt Short-Arm Weight Distribution System with Shank - Trunnion Bar - 15,000 lbs GTW, 1,500 lbs TW # C17333

Each of these systems come with everything you need for installation except the hitch ball; for that you will need either 2" Hitch Ball # A-90 or 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # 19286.
