Question:

When I connect the wires to connector for jack does it matter which side I install the connector

RAM jacks provided the attached photo showing how the various single and doubled wires connect to the pins on the back of the power switch # EJ-3520-PSW. They do not offer a separate wiring diagram.

Your picture doesn't help I can only see 5 wires and where they hook up can't tell

This is literally the only photo we have available showing this. If you haven't taken your jack apart yet then I'd take a picture of how it's currently wired so you have something to reference.
