Question:
Hitch extender/riser weight capacity. Im scraping my scooter carrier on a slightly inclined driveway with in my 2019 Kia Sorento. Would I be able to safely hook up a scooter carrier and scooter with a combined weight of approximately 325 lbs to the upper, raised portion of this part? Thank you!

The Malone Dual Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches # MPG544 because it is an adapter will allow up to 400 lbs tongue weight total which could allow the scooter carrier and scooter of 325 lbs combined. The issue is that your hitch would need to be rated for 650 lbs tongue weight for that to work with this adapter because it reduces your hitch tongue weight by 50%. According to your owner's manual you would need the Lambda II 3.3 for that application.
This can work with the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # E98843 if your hitch isn't rated for that capacity. This hitch is rated for tongue weights up to 750 lbs. Most factory hitches are rated for 350 lbs.
Another option is to use the factory hitch and the Gen-Y Adjustable ball mount # 325-GH-404 which won't reduce the tongue weight of your hitch and will allow you a rise of up to 5 inches to give you additional ground clearance.
