Can Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Tires Be Filled To Lower psi for Light Trailer

Question:

Hi, need some help! ENDURANCE D RATED 15 TIRES - ST. Want to place an order for these tires. We have a single axle Forest River R-Pod. Came with C rated 15 foot tires nobby tires. Upgrading to GY Endurance. Big question - PSI setting. The Endurance D rated 15s are 80 psi max tires. At that PSI it can bear a weight far greater than my axle capacity. I am pretty absolute about wanting this make and model. Cant get the same consistent answer. Set at max PSI or the PSI for the axle weight...as in no less than that PSI? I dont want the trailer bouncing down the road nor do I want to under inflate and blow out. Bottom line...at max psi or by axle weight! You are truly the experts! Look forward to hearing back!

The Goodyear Endurance ST225/75R15 Trailer Tire # 724857519 can be filled to 80 psi to get a capacity of 2,830 lbs but it is different than most trailer tires in that it can be filled to less than that psi and be correctly rated for what you need.

The Endurance uses a chart that lists the weight capacity for their tires based on the psi each tire size is inflated to. For example, the aforementioned 225/75R15 Trailer Tire # 724857519 can be inflated to 65 psi and will have a 2,540 lb capacity or to 45 psi and its capacity will be 2,020 lbs.

All you need to do is follow the inflation chart for this tire and you'll know the exact psi you need to inflate your tires to.
