Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look together at this Goodyear Endurance ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire with this 14-inch Eagle Aluminum wheel. Now this special trailer tire, or ST tire, is created specifically for trailers and it's not intended for use on other vehicles. This radial tire does come pre-mounted on this 14-inch black machined aluminum wheel with the 5 on 4 1/2-inch bolt pattern. So this will be compatible with a wide range of utility, cargo, boat and camper trailers.
This common 5-lug configuration is going to ensure a secure fit for most small to mid-sized rigs. So whether you're replacing a worn out setup or you're prepping a new trailer, you're gonna save time and skip the hassle of separate mounting and inflation. So this is designed for the open road. This Goodyear Endurance radial tire is going to stay stable at highway speeds up to 87 miles per hour with enhanced tracking, traction, and durability. So with double steel belts, triple polyester plies and nylon overlays, and Durawall sidewalls, this tire is going to do a great job of resisting damage and heat buildup.
So, as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together and as we have stamped on our tire, this is an ST205/75R14. This is a Load Range D radial tire, meaning it is an 8-ply. It has an 8-ply rating. The maximum load is 2040 pounds at 65 psi. And this tire has a speed rating of N, as I mentioned before, it has a maximum speed of 87 miles per hour.
Now this black machined finish on this wheel is going to resist rust and road grime, while the steel lug nut inserts are going to protect the bolt holes and reduce the need for frequent re-torquing. So the measurements of this aluminum wheel, looking at the diameter first, measuring bead seat to bead seat is 14 inches. The width of the wheel is going to be five inches. I mentioned that the bolt pattern is 5 on 4 1/2 inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, but the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes across from the first. The wheel, bolt size or stud size, is 1/2 inch by 20. The capacity of this wheel is 2,200 pounds. This does not come with the center cap, but if you decide to pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 3.19 inches. Arrived as promised. The associates I spoke with over the phone were super helpful and assured me that the tires would not be old, so that I should have a full use of the tires for up to 5-6 years. The tires' oldest DOT manufacture date was 0925 (Jan/Feb 2025) on one tire (that'll be my spare), the other two tires 2825 (last week of July 2025) is acceptable -indicating they're ~6 months old. etrailer has always been excellent to deal with, and the web site information super useful.
