Question:
MY PRE-WIRED CONNECTION IS HOT ALL THE TIME, IS IT AN ISSUE IF THE CAMERA IN ON ALL THE TIME? AS IT IS A SECURITY / OBSERVATION SYSTEM, I WOULD THINK THIS WOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE.

Expert Reply:
A security camera system, as opposed to a backup camera like # RVS-771 that only operates when the vehicle is in reverse or an observation camera like # FOS05TASF that you can turn on when you want to, will need constant power to give you its security benefit. Many RVs like your triple-axle Cyclone are now coming pre-wired for this important feature.
It would be possible to place a switch in the camera power circuit but this would mean you run the risk of having the system off when you need it.
