When you’re heading out for a long trip or setting up camp, space on the roof can make all the difference. The Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Rack gives you a huge 106" long x 58" wide surface to spread out your load. Its flat, open design handles everything from coolers and tents to kayaks and recovery tracks. With more usable area than standard crossbars or baskets, you can organize gear the way you want instead of trying to make it fit.
When trails get rough and the pavement ends, you want gear that’s as tough as your truck. This platform rack is built from aluminum with reinforced nylon connectors, tested for off-road use and Australian conditions. The powder-coated finish helps resist scuffs and corrosion, so it stays solid through mud, dust, and heavy loads. It’s built to handle real adventure, not just a quick weekend trip down the highway.
Roof gear shouldn’t sound like a wind tunnel every time you hit the road. The low-profile frame of the Pioneer Platform keeps air flowing smoothly over your roofline, cutting down on drag and noise. A detachable wind fairing comes included to help quiet things even more during long drives. You’ll notice less resistance at speed and a cleaner look when everything’s mounted up.
This rack doesn’t limit how you pack. Integrated channels in the planks and frame let you mount awnings, light brackets, shovel holders, spare tire carriers, and other accessories (sold separately). Add the accessory bars (RR33AP – sold separately) to use kayak carriers or cargo boxes right on top. Wiring can even be routed internally through the perimeter of the platform for a clean setup with powered gear.
You don’t need extra parts to get started—the system includes one platform, eight legs, and eight adapters, plus a torque tool set for easy installation and maintenance. Everything clamps securely to the factory rain gutters using custom-fit brackets. And with its solid build and 5-year limited warranty, this rack is ready for years of hauling whatever your next trip demands.

Well, after having a year, I still love it. The color has held up perfectly and still looks brand new. Excellent accessory options. It is pretty high up, so I use a 3-step stool to tie down stuff when needed. Work great for wood, kayaks, surfboards, and disobeying kids.

I still love this rack! It is huge and houses my solar panels, I can walk on it, there is plenty more space and I have no complaints. I keep it parked about 100ft from the ocean and nothing on it is rusting at all. So thats great! If I was going to change anything at all, it would be if there was a way to really really lock it in place instead of just squeezing onto the rain gutters. Once or twice, Ive had to tighten the clamps after slipping off a little bit. If youre comfortable with modifying it at all, you could add a couple of set screws through it and into the gutter, but the manufacturer definitely would not recommend that haha. The good news is that there are many clamps, so its not a real issue. Just something to occasionally inspect. I still give it 5 stars!

I really like this rack and all of the accessories. Currently I have a Thule storage box on the top and several attachment points. I found that I can get to everything with a three step ladder 6’2 so YMMV. Easy to attach kayaks, totes, and misbehaving children.
