Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for MORyde Orbital Pin Box on 2019 Forest River Arctic Wolf

Question:

I just purchased a 30 2019 Forest River Artic Wolf and it came with a MORyde part #RSPB83-1622. I have been looking at other hitches and first need to know if this is a good hitch. I have read forums regarding chucking and this is my first fifth wheel. I am towing it with a 2017 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 dually with an 8foot bed. I also just purchased the Lippert Center Point air-ride suspension for the trailer. Thanks

The MORyde pin box RSPB83-1622 is a 16K orbital rotating pin box designed for increased turning clearances with short bed trucks. Although this nice feature is not required for a long bed truck like your 2017 Ram 3500 I recommend keeping it. The Lippert Center Point suspension # LC1565391 will handle much of the road shock, so I recommend keeping your additional turning clearance and simply using a really nice 5th wheel hitch.

If you have the factory puck system in your Ram, I recommend the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3600. This hitch will securely hold your king pin in place better than other hitches and is extremely well made and durable to give you an excellent towing experience. It also has polyurethane bushings to reduce road shock.

If you don't have the pucks then use rail kit # RP50085-58 and Demco Hijacker Premier Series Double Pivot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM6076P-21K. This hitch will also allow easy hookup and limit chucking. It also has integrated cushioning with polyurethane dampeners to reduce road shock.
