Question:
My question is in regard to Michael Hs reply to the original question in the Subject line. Can I install lugs through the back of a bolt on type hub to convert it into a lug type hub? which would enable me to use a wheel with a larger pilot hole than the hub
asked by: Richard F
Helpful Expert Reply:
You very well could use wheel studs instead of bolts by installing screw-in studs like the 1/2" x 2" Redline # 25-53 or # 25-51, or the 9/16" x 3" Redline # 25-11.
Just be sure that the stud is the correct size, the middle opening on your new wheels is larger than the hub bore, and that your wheels accept coned lug nuts like part # CE11051. If all of that matches up then you are good to go!
