Does Torklift StableLoad Wear Out Vehicle Overload Springs
Updated 03/18/2019 | Published 03/17/2019 >
Question:
I have a 2018 Ford F350. I am wondering.....Can installing this product compromise the overload springs over time? Are we putting more strain on them than they are designed for? If the first 2 answers are no.....Why doesnt the manufacturer send the trucks out with an option like this? Thank you for your time.

Expert Reply:
Using the TorkLift StableLoad Suspension Upgrade # TLA7200 does not wear out the overload springs at all. It does engage them earlier to help add more suspension support but that does not wear them out to any significant extent. Manufacturers typically try to keep costs down and when someone else patents a great idea to easily enhance the suspension the manufacturers can't simply copy the design without paying for it.
