Trailer Tires With Size Similar to 215/60R15 Tires

What tires are equivalent to 215/60r15 in a trailer or lt tire?

Expert Reply:

There are tires with a size that are similar to a 215/60R15 but there is not an equivalent trailer tire size.

Tires that are 215/60R15 measure 25.2" in diameter and 8.5" wide and fit 15" wheels. The closest to that for a trailer tire is a ST205/75R15 tire which measures 27.1" in diameter, is 8" wide and also fits 15" wheels.

For this size trailer tire the best available is the Goodyear Endurance # 724861519 because it has automotive-grade tread to keep your tires gripped to the road and a reinforced sidewall which is designed to help protect you against potential blowouts. The Endurance even has a tread wear indicator which allows you to see the amount of tread remaining on the tires. Additionally, these Goodyear tires are one of the few trailer tires still made in the USA.

This is a load range D tire that has a maximum capacity of 2,150 lbs when filled to 65 psi, has a speed rating of 87 mph and will fit 15" x 5", 15" x 5-1/2", 15" x 6", and 15" x 6-1/2" rims.

I have added a link to a video review of this tire for you to check out as well.
