Question:
I am looking for a replacement HUB for my boat trailer. The current hub has L68149 and L44649 bearings and grease seal # 168233. Which hub do you recommend for marine use that will fit my trailer?

Expert Reply:
The trailer hub part # AKIHUB-545-35-G-K that you referenced will work great for you. Based on the bearing numbers and seal numbers you mentioned it will fit the spindle you have and since it's galvanized it's great for marine use.
For grease the Lubrimatic LMX red grease part # L11390 is a industrial strength grease that's waterproof so it's great for marine applications as well.
