Difference Between Measurements on 3,500 lb Double Eye Leaf Spring
Updated 02/25/2019 | Published 02/22/2019 >
Question:
Is the axle mounting position directly in the center of this leaf spring? The measurements for A and B are 13 1/2 inch and 14 inch and I wasnt sure if that was the measurement from eye to center in each side.

The axle should mount over the center of the 27" 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles # SP-210275.
The measurements you see in the accompanying diagram are different because "A" is measured in a straight line from the center of the spring eye to the center of the spring while "B" is the measurement of the curve from the spring eye to the center of the spring, like if you laid a tape measure down on the spring itself, if that makes sense.
I have added a link to a video review of this spring, as well as a link to a help article on trailer suspension which I recommend checking out.
