Replacement Brakes and Suspension for a 2012 Venture Tandem Axle Boat Trailer
Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/23/2025 >
Question:
I have a 2012 Venture tandem axle boat trailer VIN 4TGAC2725DB000095. Each axle is 4200 pound capacity. I am rebuilding the trailer suspension system due to spring failure. Axles seem to be fine, but I need all the parts I list plus any you may think of. Leaf springs - 2 each side, 4 total Corrosion Resistant. Hanging hardware - all if it. I had to cut everything off. The hangars themselves that are attached to the trailer are fine. Caliper bracket - 4 total. Corrosion Resistant Calipers - 4 total Corrosion resistant Rotor, 6 lug - 4 total corrosion resistant Hub assembly, 6 lug - 4 total. Corrosion resistant I operate in the Chesapeake Bay, so the trailer is routinely exposed to salt water. I cannot attach photos. Let me know if you need any measurements, and if theres anything i might have left off this request. Thanks

Hey Howard. I don't have a database that shows me part numbers for your boat trailer so I am going to need some measurements and hopefully a couple of part numbers.
To replace your springs, I'll need to know how long your current ones are and how many leafs they have. You'll want to measure from the center of one mounting bolt to the other.
To replace your equalizer, shackle straps, and wet bolts, I'll need to know the dimensions from the bolt holes across the center of your equalizer and from the top bolt hole to the center line of the two other bolts. As far as shackle straps go I'll need the center to center hole measurement.
To replace your brakes and all associated parts, I'll need to know what part numbers are stamped into the side of the bearings on one of your hubs.
You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.
