How to Tell if UFP A-160 Actuator Has Manual Lockout
Updated 02/18/2019 | Published 02/17/2019 >
Question:
How do you manually lockout the reverse on a UFP A-160 actuator? I cannot move the trailer around in the storage yard without hooking up to the tow vehicle. Thanks for your answer.

I am not quite sure what you have on your UFP A-160 actuator but if you check out the attached picture the only way you can manually lock out an actuator is if it has a manual lockout built-in. Technically you can drill a hole in the side of it and place a bolt there to keep the actuator action from happening but this weakens the wall of the actuator and should only be used as a last resort and we don't recommend doing this.
You may be able to use a solenoid valve like part # DM5404 but this would still meant that you need the electric reverse light function from your vehicle to lockout the trailer actuator.
