According to page 210 in the online version of the owner's manual for your 2007 Ford Edge the AWD version can be flat towed. You will want to refer to your copy of the owner's manual to confirm this and any other specific instructions when it comes to flat towing your vehicle.
A complete flat towing setup consists of a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle wiring, a supplemental braking system, and sometimes a high-low adapter. If you don't already have this equipment then I recommend going with the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 4408-1, Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520, and Safety Cables # RM-643. This gives you a great looking system that utilizes the Roadmaster Quick Disconnects to quickly and easily connect and disconnect your Ford Edge to and from your motorhome.
A lot of flat towing setups might require the use of a high-low adapter to keep the tow bar level while towing a vehicle. I have linked a helpful article for you to reference to see if this applies to you. If it does then I have also linked our selection of adapters for you to filter through.
When it comes to wiring I highly recommend the Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 for two reasons. The first is that once it is initially installed you simply connect the umbilical from your Edge to your motorhome and you are good to go! The second reason is that your owner's manual stated to leave the key in the ACC position while flat towing. This can wear down your battery but if you install the Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 it will prevent this from happening.
From here I recommend installing one of the braking kits from SMI because once they are installed they are very easy to set up for flat towing. Another thing I like about these systems is that they install out of the way so that you won't realize they are there when you aren't flat towing your vehicle. If your motorhome has air brakes then you need the Air Force One # SM99243 but if it has hydraulic brakes then the Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 is the correct part. You will also need to install the Relay # RM-88400 if you need the DUO to ensure that the lights on your Edge work properly while flat towing.
Attached are some review and installation videos for you to refrerence as well.
