Question:

It looks like Brody HSBP will work for my 2000 Dodge Dakota. I believe I have the 2” lip clearance on top. It was recommended to me I use turn buckles that have the springs vs. without to allow for a little play on uneven surfaces to avoid possibly damaging the truck. Before I order your turn buckles, what are your thoughts on this? Thanks,

The Brophy Clamp On Camper Tie-Downs # HSBP that you referenced will work great 2000 Dodge Dakota but we do not have spring loaded turn buckles that work with this kit. The recommended turnbuckle kit is the part # TDHP which are not spring loaded. I wouldn't say the spring turnbuckles are a terrible idea at all, but we haven't seen them really be a necessity. The # TDHP will work great for you.
