what does the hitch weigh ? Why do some of the hitches use 5/8 pin and some use 3/4 inch pin ?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Flash Solid Steel HD Adjustable 2-Ball Mount - 2.5" Hitch - 10" Drop, 11" Rise - 20K # FA49-00-5925 weighs 42 lbs when shipped, so it will be slightly less when the packaging is removed. Some ball mounts will use the same 5/8 inch hitch pin for the ball mount, but some manufacturers want to ensure that no product that isn't intended to work with the shank is used for safety. Because of this, the Fastway ball mount has a 3/4 inch pin at the ball mount platform and the 5/8 inch pin at the hitch receiver.
If you would like to secure this ball mount, the Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set for 2-1/2" Flash Solid Steel HD Adjustable Ball Mounts # FA86-00-4225 is available to give you the correct pin diameters with locks.

I am looking at the Flash FA49-00-5925 20K 10" drop ball mount and the 10" drop is a little more drop than I want for my 2018 Ford F-350 4x4 crew cab pickup. Do they make the same ball mount in a 8" drop?
