Changing Ball Height and Replacing Balls
To adjust the height of the ball, remove the pin so that you are able to slide the ball platform up or down along the shank to the desired position. Re-insert the pin once you have found the correct height and replace the clip.
Switching the hitch ball is just as easy. Simply remove the pin holding the ball platform in place and slide the platform off of the shank. Flip the platform upside down so that the ball you want to use is on top. Then slide the ball platform back onto the shank and replace the pin.

No more swapping out receivers when I go from 2" to 2-5/8 tongues. Would have gotten 5 stars if a hitch pin was included, especailly at this price point. Interested to see how it holds up over time.
Sturdy, handy and convenient. Not as much 'play' as I had expected. I regularly haul 16k+ with this. Only thing to know is keep it clean/maintain the 'slide' for easy swapping from 2" to 2-5/16".

I’ve owned this hitch for a year and no complaints. Solid and easily convertible. Occasional cleaning with brake cleaner and light grease to keep operation simple. Beats steelrust from salted roads in northern climates. It handles 16k hauling for me about 20xyear and much more frequent light-hauling. Will last as long or longer than my 22 Silverado.
It’s been a good hitch so far. I have no complaints. The 2.5 inch Rock Tamer mount just fits on my 2022 Superdutys factory receiver. I was real happy about that.

Still a great hitch for me. A friend of mine tried using it on a 2020 super duty 3 inch with a reducer. The 2.5 inch Rock Tamer did not work using that reducer. There wasn’t enough clearance.

used to move enclosed 25' car trailer with 2 5/16 ball and 5x7 open trailer with 2" ball.
Did everything I wanted it to do. Like the quick switch between size balls and the up and down movement of ball carrier allowed me to level both the trailers using the same hitch. Hitch shows no sign of wear and tear. Have many positive comments about the look on the truck.

Did invest in two key lock type pins, to make sure it does not disappear...
It's a decent hitch for my 2019 F250 4X4. With the slide set in the lowest hole, the inverted ball hangs way low. I haven't dragged it yet, though. Also, the shank fits a little loose in my receiver and clanks quite a bit. It has started to wear a ring around the shank (photo). Starting to worry about it shearing at some point in the future. Will probably order a fixed steel 8" drop and just roll with that.
Purchased this hitch for a 2017 ram 3500. Truck has 1” lift in rear with 35x11.50x18 tires. Excellent adjustable drop hitch. The hitch is a stout piece of artwork. I’ve been using it to haul my motocross trailer and my jet boat. The easy height adjustment eliminates the need for multiple hitches. Only warning I have is for the married guy, The chicks dig it!!
Needed the extra drop of this hitch for a couple different trailers. Used it for only three days in its lowest drop position to tow a single axle trailer that was by no means even heavily loaded. Then another day later I needed to tow a skid steer and needed to adjust the height of the hitch. The problem was that where the two components meet there was a bunch of rubbing and it mashed the aluminum. I couldn’t adjust the hitch up or down. I ended up having to use a hammer to get it to move. Not super impressed with this product to say the least.
Not cut correctly, does not slide and holes not milled correctly. It’s been sitting on the floor of my garage for a year collecting dust. I’ve been happy with all of my other orders from etrailer, this seems like a one off issue.
I would have given 5 stars if it would have came with a locking hitch pin. The soan is 4.5” and I was unable to find a single locking hitch pin anywhere. Luckily etrailer has one, but it’s $50!!! Honestly the hitch is awesome and looks great too, I just dont want to leave the expensive hitch on my truck without a lock!

Purchased for my 2017 F-250 6.7l Fx4. 8" has perfect amount of drop and seems to be very heavy duty! I also purchased the lockable hitch pins which provides security from being stolen! Very happy with my purchase!

When adjusting if 2” ball is up pin goes right in if 2 5/16” ball is up a mallet is needed to install and remove pin. Kind of a pain but other than that nice product.
I ordered the Flash Simple HD hitch and also bought the locking pins (Item #FA86-00-3685). With the 2" ball in position the locking pin was snug but worked. However when turned upside down to use the 2 5/16 ball the pin would not go completely through. etrailer quickly sent me a replacement which works fine. To be safe, I would suggest verifying the pin works in all position combinations.

I purchased the Flash-E 2 1/2" adjustable hitch and pins with the 8" drop,Class v, 18,000 Lb pull. You "WILL" not find a more capable tough looking hitch that make's a statement to all who see it. Heads and tails above all others ! This hitch is no joke !
My 2016 RAM 2500 6.7 L Diesel can now pull anything without worrying about ball or hitch frailer.

This product looked very nice on line , It had great reviews and the price was right.
The hitch will be used on a work pick hauling multiple trailers which is why we need the versatility of the two ball sizes. We also bought the recommended lock set for this hitch. We were very impressed with the hitch once we received it , which came very quickly and in great shape.
I would recommend this product at this time.

the hitch is working out very well . The quality is excellent and the finish is fabulous. I would still absolutely recommend this hitch. I liked it so much that I bought a second hitch for another vehicle . the price is unreal for the quality you get. Buy it with out hesitation.
This is a great hitch, it has the weight carrying ability that I needed, and it's light weight!! This can also be considered 6 hitches in one, it has 2 different ball sizes, plus the height adjustability, Great Hitch!!

Top of the line product in fit and finish . I also went with the locking pin set and glad I did , or I don’t think the hitch would be on my truck cause someone would take this in a heartbeat. It’s just that nice of a piece of equipment. Very satisfied with the purchase

The trailer hitch works flawlessly and looks great.
I’ve been using this hitch couple fo times a week for the past year, and trailer in all sizes. The quick change in the hight is a must when your towing other people’s trailers and you don’t know the hight. All the pins slide in and out easily and never had an issue with anything getting seized. Highly recommend, and it’s nice to know the hitch is capable of more then my truck is rated, so never need to worry about overloading the hitch.
Looks great very heavy for its size. Machining work is excellent and the finish is flawless. I hate to get it dirty. I have a convert a ball set I have used for years and has worked well for me, but now that I have gone to a 3/4 ton GMC I needed a longer drop and always had an issue with the tounge height of different trailers. Now I don't have to even think about trailer weight with the 18,000 lb tow capacity this hitch has. My only issue is I should have gone with the 6" drop instead of the 8" drop, but that is my fault. I also recommend getting the lock pins,which I didn't, and plan on doing. It would be very appealing to some low life that would probably never have any use for it. I highly recommend this hitch even if you never use it. Just nice to look at.
The stinger is well made, looks great, and very functional for my needs/truck. They delivered on time. Great products and customer service!

After a year, this thing is awesome. I have three trailers with 2 different ball sizes and all three are different heights. I originally thought this was a bit pricey, but considering the versatility and not needing 2 or even 3 setups is worth it for me.
