Question:
2002 Chevrolet Silverado k2500hd with factory trailer hitch and wiring. I have brake lights, chmsl, turn signals, backup, park, hazards lights at rear of truck. Ive checked power at chassis harness at the rear Junction Block Connector, I have turn signals and park lights, still no trailer brake lights. i plugged the connector back into the junction block and still no power to trailer brake lights thought may be poor connection Checked fuses at left i/p and under hood all good. does the stop lamp switch at brake pedal have two circuit for brake light for truck side and trailer? Hazard switch on steering column doesnt always work at times? Cruise control will set, then occasionally will out, i can reset cruise works again, and after braking the resume doesnt work, could this also causing the trailer brake light not to work?

It sounds like a short on that circuit somewhere deep in the harnesses of the truck. I wish there was an easy way to fix it. Typically it's just a blown CHMSL fuse on your truck which is VERY common with this problem. I'm actually shocked you checked that fuse and it's still good. Since other circuits are hit or miss it might be best to just bypass the factory wiring and wire in a converter box like the # 119250KIT which will wire to the factory wiring of the truck instead to get the signal you need.
