How to Determine if Rhino-Rack Roof Rack Will Fit with Moon Roof on a 2019 Mazda CX-9

will these interfere with the moon roof on 2019 mazda cx9 touring? And how difficult is installation?

I spoke with my contact at Rhino-Rack who said that they don't have any notes about there being any issues between the part # RRRVP51 and the moon roof on a 2019 Mazda CX-9 but she did say that you need to be careful not to overtighten the hardware.

Since they couldn't give me an exact measurement for the roof rack so that you can compare I went out to the warehouse and found the feet of this system to measure about 1-1/2" high. The fit kit will add about 1" more of height. I recommend taking something like a 2x4 and holding it 2-1/2" above the fixed mounting locations on your roof and testing to see if your moon roof will make contact with the crossbars (being careful that the board doesn't make contact with the glass!).

Please note that even though the aero-style crossbars do reduce wind noise it is almost impossible to completely eliminate it. If you were to open your moon roof with the roof rack installed it would make that whistling noise louder and unpleasant.
