Troubleshooting Trailer Landing Gear that Clicks When Weight is on Jacks

Question:

Our 2006 Mountaineer landing gear wont raise the trailer , we have bought a new motor ,gearbox, and gears, shaft etc. from you folks it works fine if the weight if the trailer us on the hitch but will not raise with the weight on the legs. The gear box it sounds like clatters before it gets to the hitch height. I need help.

Sounds like a weak battery or bad wiring to it. Make sure your trailer's battery is in good shape and is charged. The clicking sound you are hearing typically indicates a bad motor that's drawing too much, a weak battery, or bad wiring from the battery to the motor.
