Do you have a video regarding the Roadmaster adapter 031-5? My 6 years old Sterling All Terrain is serial number is 607928 which seems to suggest that any Sterling with a number under 016500 must be really old??. Yet all the on-line help supports the roadmaster 031 adapter. I goofed and ordered adapter 031 which I evidently need to return.

The serial number of your Sterling tow bar being 607,928 would indicate that the # RM-031-5 would work with it and would be the correct fit. The # RM-031 is for the older version like you mentioned.
