Is DeeZee Truck Bed Auxiliary Fuel Tank Compatible with Gasoline?

Can this be used safely for a Gasoline truck?

The DeeZee Truck Bed Auxiliary Tank - Rectangle - Aluminum - 38 Gallon # DZ91752X are only intended for using Diesel fuel according to my contact at the manufacturer. It would be a large liability for them to sign off on using it for gasoline because it is much more explosive than diesel fuel.
It will technically work for gasoline, but it is not recommended and would not be warrantied.
