How to Wire a 7-Way Trailer Connector on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Question:

2015 silverado wiring diagram I cant find the right diagram showing where the wires go. My trailer is wired for 2005 Silverado, wont work.

I have attached a photo for you below which shows how both a vehicle side and trailer side trailer connector is typically wired. I say typically because this is not always exact and so long as the trailer and vehicle side both match it will not really matter. The colors used in this diagram also represent common colors for those particular functions but again this is not exact and so long as the functions match, the color of the wires does not matter.

With that being said I do have the correct wire colors for the trailer wiring on your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 but in order to find this on the trailer you would need to test them with a 12 volt battery. The correct wire colors for the Silverado are as follows:

Green/Violet: Left Stop/Turn Signal
Yellow/Gray: Right Stop/Turn Signal
Gray/Brown: Taillamps/Parking Lamps
White: Ground
White/Green: Back-up Lamps
Red/Green: Battery Feed
Dark Blue: Trailer Brake
