Installing Pop & Lock Tailgate Lock on 2019 Honda Ridgeline

Question:

Hi. I just purchased my first truck - 2019 Honda Ridgeline. Got my truck only to realise the tailgate has no lock. I am not an expert in car mechanics and looking for someone who can install the PAL8600 pop and lock. I am based in Northern California. Appreciate if you can provide some leads on where I can get it installed if I purchased the parts. Thanks.

The Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8600 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit and will work great on your 2019 Honda Ridgeline. We don't have any specific recommendations as to where you can have this installed but the process shouldn't be a problem for a mechanic with some experience. I recommend simply finding a local mechanic or shop with a good reputation to perform the install.

Pop & Lock estimates a total install time of less than an hour. I have attached the written installation instructions along with an install video on the 2019 Honda Ridgeline. You can use this information to obtain an accurate estimate from a local shop before bringing the truck in or even to watch to see if you might be comfrotable performing the install yourself. In addition to what comes with the kit you will just need a rubber mallet, a utility knife, a T40 torx bit, a Phillip head screw driver, and a 5/32 inch allen wrench.
