I see the photos of others how roof rails that are raised. Will it fit with the type of rails the connect through the entire rail length. It will be for a 2018 Mazda cx 5.

We have roof racks that fit the flush rails you have on the roof of your 2018 Mazda CX-5 but the Malone kit you mentioned only fits rails that are raised like you mentioned. Instead you want the Yakima Roof Rack part numbers # Y00425, # Y00145,and # Y06029 which is a confirmed fit and a very nice roof rack. This will also work really well with the Thule Hullavator part # TH898 you mentioned as well.
