Question:
I tow a 25 ft trailer with my Sierra 1500 using an Egual-i-zer 4 way weight and sway control. My factory original hitch is wearing along with the holes for hitch pin. Is there a anti-rattle device that would work to stabilize the ball hitch assembly in the truck hitch?
asked by: Kevin
Expert Reply:
Yes, there are anti-rattle devices that can be used with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System to prevent the shank from sliding back and forth and damaging the hitch pin hole. The Equal-i-zer System has a solid shank which means the only type of anti-rattle device that will work is a sleeve type. The best anti-rattle sleeve type device we offer is the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II part # BX88224.
The Roadmaster Quiet Hitch part # RM-061 will also work for you but it won't be as effective as the Immobilizer II.
