Question:
picture with dimensions shows a 3/4inch height. Part description below indicates a height of 0.487 inches. Which is correct?

I went out to our warehouse to take a look at the Curt Hitch Ball Bushing # F-2 referenced in your question and verified that it does feature a 3/4 inch height as indicated on the attached image. I have included a short video demonstration on this product that you can take a look at as well.
