Question:
Ive installed a thicker approximately 1inch thicker leaf spring pack on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma that was already fitted with a Firestone Ride-Rite system. As the bottom Ride Rite bracket is now about 1inch further above the axle, I believe I now need to install a spacer so that the inboard Ride Rite bracket will still contact the axle, but I am uncertain which to order. The attached photo shows how the thicker leaf pack has raised the Ride Rite bracket so that the inboard vertical brace no longer rests on the axle - the gap is indicated by the blue arrow to the right. It would be helpful if you could provide the approximate dimensions, particularly the height, of the two alternatives: F5557 - Long and, F5558 Firestone Ride-Rite Axle Spacer Brackets for Lifted Vehicles - Short. Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The correct spacer you will need for the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2407 on your 2012 Toyota Tacoma is actually going to be the Firestone Axle Bracket Extension Kit part # F2506. These will then bolt to the side of the vertical support on the lower bracket. If they are too long then you can just trim them but the Firestone Ride-Rite Axle Spacer Brackets for Lifted Vehicles part # F5557 and part # F5558 won't be your best options.
