Does the Valterra L32CS000 automatically unlock when opened from the inside using the interior lever?

There is a thumb latch on the Valterra Keyed Entry Door Knob w/ Interior Lever part # L32CS000 that is used to lock and unlock the door. The thumb latch would need to be turned to the unlock position in order for the door to open. Therefore, no the Valterra Keyed Entry Door Knob does not automatically unlock.
