Question:

Exact same tire? Have read H188 is loadstars premium tire... your take? Will be towing new karavan trailer with H188’s 1300 miles...can you recommend my BEST premium tire. Thanks! 13” tire, 1800 lb total weight, boat,motor,trailer.

Although the Kenda Loadstar # AM1ST77 is a great tire, it is a bias tire and is better for off-road use. When traveling on the highway radial tires are the better option. Radial tires have cords that are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This gives them less rolling resistance and allows them to remain cooler and last longer on the highway.

For your application I recommend going with the Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10210. This has a load range of D (1,610 lbs at 65 psi) and an 81 mph speed rating. This tire also comes with a limited 2-year warranty along with the same name and quality that you have heard about the Kenda Loadstar tires.
