Can this BandW Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter Item # BWRVK3400 be used with any Gooseneck hitch or does it have to be used with the BandW Gooseneck adaptor? 2017 Ram 3500

The B&W Companion Slider Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3400 is only compatible with the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitches. If you have a different gooseneck hitch, then there are other potential options.

For instance, the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Trailer Hitches - 20,000 lbs # C16210 will work on that gooseneck to give you rails so you can add a sliding hitch. Curt also has an adapter option for their EZr double lock hitch in the Curt X5 # C16220. These can be used with most standard sliding 5th Wheel hitches. I've attached the link to assist as almost all sliding hitches with the exception of the auto slide models.

Another option is to use the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset # CAB-C5GX1216 or the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter w/8" Offset for Short-Bed Trucks # AM3139. These attach to your gooseneck hitch ball and your trailer's king pin.
