Can High-Low Adapter be Used for Motorcycle Carrier

Can I use this with my mx hauler the bike is a DRZ400 and it weights 315 pounds i need 2 inches lower to get the bike on without having to lift it Thanks

Although you technically can use the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter # RM-072-2 to mount an accessory like a motorcycle carrier, the use of ANY adapter will reduce the tongue weight of the hitch on your vehicle by 50 percent.

So if your hitch has a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs the use of an adapter such as this would lower the capacity to 250 lbs and your bike and hauler would be too heavy. So essentially, unless you have a hitch with a tongue weight capacity of 800 lbs you would not be able to use an adapter like the # RM-072-2 because it would not have the capacity to carry the bike and carrier.
