Question:
Haw can I test the shock on my trailer acculater

A shock like the Replacement Shock # T1242600 for Titan Model 6 and 10 Brake Actuators is essentially designed to dampen the movement of the actuator. There are a couple things you can do to see if a replacement is in order.
First, if you find that your trailer is slamming forward and back as you apply the brakes in your tow vehicle, this is an indication that the shock has gone bad. Also see if the shock can easily be extended and retracted without any resistance. This would also indicate that a replacement is needed.
I have attached a link that will take you directly to our available selection of replacement shocks that you can look through. You will just want to note the manufacturer and model of your existing actuator to see if we have a replacement that will work.
