Question:

I have a 2005 Fleetwood Bayside popup camper with a single axle. It has a GVWR of 3,770 lbs. The tire size is ST185/80D13. What tire would you recommend to cover the GVWR?

In order to meet the full gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of your 2005 Fleetwood Bayside Pop Up Camper you would need to upgrade to a larger tire size. For this, I recommend the Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 14" White Wheel part # AM32161 which has a load range that is sufficient for use up to 4,080 lbs (pair). This tire will also be 1.4" larger in diameter and .8" larger in width than the tire you have now so you will need to make sure you have room for this new size. You will also need to make sure your wheels use a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern.

If your trailer cannot accept this larger size than the only option we have for you is the Loadstar ST185/80D13 Bias Trailer Tire part # AM1ST79. The tire has a load range that is sufficient for use up to 3,420 lbs (pair) which is the highest we offer in this size. It also has a bias ply which will not do as well on the highway as the above radial ply.
