Question:
Hello. I am looking at a set of your Kenda trailer tire for my single axle boat trailer. My question is that I am thinking about changing from a load c to a load d tire. Will this cause any ride issues if I don’t have extra gear in the boat. Tire size is 175/80/13

Hello Justin, thanks for reaching out. Going from a load range C tire up to a load range D likely will not change the ride quality in any noticeable way. You would not be increasing the carrying capacity of your trailer, but the higher rated tires will be more robust and durable. If anything you will just be increasing your safety margins, and adding a bit of peace of mind.
For a solid Load Range D 175/80-13 tire, I recommend the following:
- Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # KE78KV
