Replacement Leaf Spring Needed with One Open End on a Bayliner Trailer

Updated 07/11/2018 | Published 07/10/2018

Question:

Im wanting to replace some old leaf springs on my Bayliner trailer. The center of bolt to bolt is 26-1/2. The height or D on your measurements is 5, compressed, not jacked up. The leaf width is 1-5/8. It currently has three leafs but if more leafs will work, Im game for whatever you suggest. The current spring has a closed circle on one end and a c-shape on the other end. The axle is a 5-lug. I couldnt find exacts, but Im guessing it is a 2000+ lb load trailer. Which spring do you suggest?

It sounds like the 4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Open Eye End # e33SR could be what you are looking for. Over time leaf springs can stretch so this one being 1/4" shorter than your current leaf spring is most likely correct.

This leaf spring is rated for a 4,300 lb axle and comes with 4 leafs. The amount of leafs isn't really important since you are simply looking for the weight capacity to be right at or slightly more than what your axle is rated for.

The only real issue that I see is this leaf spring has a 1-3/4" width as opposed to the 1-5/8" width that you mentioned so you may want to measure again just to be sure. I am pretty confident though that this is the leaf spring for you.
