Question:
Michael, Thanks for your prompt response. Since I dont have either hitch or bike rack what combination would you recommend for a sturdy rack that doesnt require the stabilizing strap when carrying two e mountain bikes? Thanks

If it were me I would choose Draw-Tite hitch # 75234 for the 2018 Ford Edge Sport because it is the most hidden out of all the options. Only the receiver will be visible once installation is complete. And no strap is required when using a bike rack. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
Since e-bikes are so heavy only certain bike racks will have the capacity to carry them. I would go with the Sport Rider # HLY84FR. This rack is rated for 80 pounds per bike. It was built extra strong to handle more weight than average bike racks and even other e-bike racks.
