Hello, people at the shops here where I am tell me that a DZ43300 will fit but on a question you answered I saw you said 74211. Which would fit my Dodge ram 1500 2001? Thank you!

The DeeZee tailgate assist, part # DZ43300, fits the Dodge Ram 1500 from 2002 to 2008. For your 2001 model year truck you need part # 74211, like you mentioned.
