Does Rack Em Ladder Rack RA-28 Have Full Weight Capacity When Used at Full Length

Question:

I have a trailer that is 8.5 foot in width. Im concerned that when stretched out to that size there wont be much support in the middle. Since the same product will fit a 4foot wide trailer also. Any comments?

The Rack' Em Ladder Rack part # RA-28 that you referenced is rated for 400 lbs when used within it's length range of 4 foot to 8-1/2 foot. You'd be totally fine at 8-1/2 feet to use it's full 400 lb capacity as it was rated and tested for this.
