Lid of UWS Toolbox Can Still Be Opened with Lock Engaged

Question:
I have uws tool box. I shut it and can pull the lid open locked and and unlocked not touching levers to open latch hook. Seems like latch hook slips off the pin on the lid? Advice?

Expert Reply:
I spoke to my contact at UWS and they informed me that the rod inside of the box that attaches to the latch needs to be adjusted. In order to do this you will need to loosen the set screw (see photo) and slide the rod either to the left or right and then tighten the set screw. This should allow the latch to catch the capture plate in the lid and prevent the box from being opened while the lock is engaged. If there is anything wrong with the rod connector you can use part # UWSRODCONNECTOR to replace it.
